Sorry I haven't got the chance to update you, damn stalkers :D

Last year, my office went to South Korea for outing. Unfortunately it was a so-so trip for me. I was too tired to go at that time thanks to the good GSM. But still there are some moments worth mentioning. I think.

Incheon Airport

Arrived at Incheon Airport early in the morning. Didn't gave me the whole feeling of the country yet. But the weather was freezing. It's a good start. Because cold means warmth to me.

Nami Island

was our first destination. Why? Because the travel agency thought we all fond of Korean TV series "Winter Sonata". And surely, WE DON"T! Especially since it's not WINTER means no snow at all! Bollocks.

Samsung Phoenix Park

This was the place that kept me (and maybe most of us) excited about the trip, because here we met: The Snow! How come there were no snow at Nami Island but lots up here? Because it's just a fake snow. They made it up. But surely real enough for us.

Gyeongbok Palace

Means Shining Happiness. It's an old skool palace that still have weird aura in some parts of the whole complex. And it wasn't happiness aura. It was greatness.

Everland

Just like Dufan in Jakarta but with the biggest wood roller-coaster in the region. Too bad it was raining, so not many playgrounds were open. And for me, after battling with tremendous cold the night before plus still a bit hangover from too much Soju, the Everland became the Feverland.

Dongdaemun Market

It's the largest wholesale and retail shopping in Korea with 26 shopping malls, more than 30,000 30,000 specialty shops, and 50,000 manufacturers. The travel guide described it like Tanah Abang in Jakarta. But it wasn't really like that as their price is as high as shops in Pacific Place. I bought a pair of shoes though :D

Myongdong

The heaven for shopaholics. Here you can find lots of funny stuff (the screaming chicken for instance), pirated DVD/CD, local food, and of course vast branded products. The price? Way cheaper than Dongdaemun. It's their Mangga Dua. I found what Mom asked, a plain umbrella. Found it at Uniclo.
