I hate saying
this, but I hate The Dark Knight Rises.
Please don’t
kill me just yet Batman diehards, I love Batman as much as you do.
My
expectation goes through the roof after seeing The Dark Knight. Nolan perfectly
depicted Batman’s dark side. I got awed to see how Batman fought for people of
Gotham and then labeled as criminal by them because all they know he murdered Gotham’s hero, Harvey Dent.
On top of that, the alter ego, Bruce Wayne, lost Rachel Dawes, the only women of that eccentric billionaire ever fall in loved with. Then those darkness paid by the safety upon Gotham city by its own good citizens, making the Joker wrong. The unbeatable Joker terror was lost over hope and good will. It was all a good balance.

But, in The
Dark Knight Rises (TDKR), Nolan failed to capture The Dark Knight’s darkness. Right
from the start. After being labeled as criminal, for the last 8 years Batman was simply gone. What? So why bother labeled him as criminal just to make him gone? That’s
not Dark Knight, being the Dark Knight is to keep fighting the crime while being
labeled as criminal!
Not merely that, Bruce Wayne couldn't move on after loosing his love? What Nolan should've done was show us how Batman can still fight the crime as criminal while Bruce Wayne stays broken hearted. It’s about how Batman/Bruce continue their heroic lives while the whole world tries to pull them down. That's Dark Knight's darkness. Because no matter what, Batman always has righteous mean that motivates him, he can endure any emotional pain for the greater good. He always has. That what makes him a superhero.

Then I thought,
ok maybe it’s just a start, capturing the dark thing would come afterwards. But guess
what, they never came. The plot was going nowhere, too many shallow subplots that
drained our energy and making us even less care about the super banal main plot.
Just look at
the final scenes (spoiler alert!), a kiss before fighting the last battle, saving the city in
the nick of time and not being blown up by the bomb? Really? There are million ways to do ending better than every man of the expendables have done it. Why, Nolan? Why??

.......i enjoyed the movie although yes, i don't like the ending. But twice in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, in my opinion, the villains (Joker and Bane) outshone the main superhero character :)
Kalau Joker sih iya, lebih kuat karakternya, si Balenya aja sampe takut beneran sama Ledger waktu shooting. Tapi kalau Bane sih nggak ah, nggak jelas gitu karakternya, kirain beneran jagoan tahunya boneka doank.
